CEO DATELINE - Fly-in events this week include United Fresh debate on Trump, Clinton by former USDA chiefs

Members of more than a dozen associations will be on Capitol Hill this week, holding their fly-ins before lawmakers fly off to campaign in their home districts.
The United Fresh Produce Association will highlight election-year issues with a special event Wednesday for Washington Conference attendees. Two former U.S. secretaries of agriculture will make the case for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton to be elected president. John Block, agriculture secretary under Ronald Reagan, will advocate for Republican nominee Trump. Dan Glickman, USDA chief during Bill Clinton's presidency, will argue for Hillary Clinton.
United Fresh CEO Tom Stenzel will moderate. He is "sitting firmly in the middle" according a news release.
Other food-related groups visiting congressional offices this week include the National Farmers Union, National Pork Producers Council and the National Confectioners Association.
Several medical specialties will be well represented on the Hill by associations for cardiology, dermatology, rheumatology and plastic surgery. The Geosciences Congressional Visits Day will include participants from the American Geosciences Institute, American Geophysical Union and other groups.
The International Franchise Association holds its Franchise Action Network Annual Meeting.
